Investment FAQ

How much do I need to start investing?

Hoty Enterprises, Inc. and its many affiliates offer investment opportunities to accredited investors. An accredited investor must meet at least one of the following rules:

  • A natural person whose individual net worth, or joint net worth with his/her spouse at the time of his/her purchase, exceeds $1,000,000, exclusive of homes, furnishings or automobiles.
  • A natural person who had an individual income in excess of $200,000 in each of the two (2) most recent years, or joint income with his/her spouse in excess of $300,000 in each of those years, and who reasonably expects the same or greater income level in the current year.
  • A corporation, partnership, or limited liability company whose assets exceed $5,000,000.
  • A trust whose assets exceed $5,000,000, not formed to acquire the securities offered and whose purchases are directed by a sophisticated person.
  • An entity in which all of the equity owners are accredited investors.
How does the investment process work?

Our general investment guidelines are as follows:

  • Our main focus is investment grade real estate developments of highly visible retail and commercial buildings. We typically purchase the land and construct the buildings.
  • Average 3 to 5 projects per year.
  • Each project requires a total capital investment of $400,000 to $1,500,000.
  • Minimum individual investment is $20,000; maximum individual investment is 15% of total capital raised.
  • Hoty Enterprises, Inc. and its principals invest between 10% to 15%.
  • Annual target compounded return on investment ranges from 5% to 15%, based on risk factors and investment horizon.
